and dining in the most picturesque of Angus Glens, alongside
Lintrathen Loch and at the foot of Glenisla - whether
you are looking for a relaxing short break in a small
hotel & Restaurant or to participate in many of
the area's sporting activities from cycling, golfing,
fishing, shooting, walking or climbing the Munroes,
this is a perfect location in Scotland.
A
converted farm steading, this small hotel with the unique
Roundhouse Restaurant offers fine dining as well as
the warm cosy Steading Bar for relaxing and having a
pint of the local ale, Lochside Lodge & Roundhouse
Restaurant offers warm and personal hospitality.
Our Hotel Bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished
with new en-suite facilities including Power Showers.
The rooms also have state of the art wall mounted flat
screen televisions with Freeview provided as well as
a welcoming tea and coffee hospitality tray, selection
of magazines and local tourist information, hairdryers
and bathrobes.
Gail
& Graham Riley have owned and run Lochside Lodge
as a small hotel for the past 7 years and have many
years experience of the Hotel & Catering industry.
Graham is a Masterchef of Great Britain, has taken part
in many competitions over the years obtaining several
prestigious awards including being a Runner up in the
Flavour of Scotland Scottish Thistle Awards in 2003
and now Winner of this prestigious award in 2004.
His
food is modern & imaginative bringing together different
flavours and colours from around the world and combining
it with the wonderful local and seasonal produce from
the Angus and Perthshire area. All dishes served in
the Restaurant are created by Graham and presented to
the highest standard. Also as a member of the Wine Guild
of the United Kingdom - the wine list has been carefully
selected to compliment his culinary delights.
Over
the past few years, we have welcomed many new and returning
customers to our small hotel Lochside Lodge and believe
we have created a fine Restaurant with Rooms in the
Angus Glens with many personal touches where guests
are treated as individuals,warmly looked after and made
to feel comfortable and at ease in a picturesque and
peaceful location in our undiscovered area of Kirriemuir
and Angus.
We are open for Lunch and Dinner from Tuesdays to Saturdays.
Lunch is served from 12 Noon until 1.30pm (last orders) and
Dinner from 6.30pm until 8.30pm (last orders).
We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
